The Dyslexia Skills Screening

Researchers as the University of Sheffield have developed the most comprehensive screening tool for examining a range of skills known to be poor in people with dyslexia or poor learning skills.

This screening test includes eleven separate assessments of motor, cognitive and literacy performances. It gives a wide profile of both strengths and weaknesses unique to each individual. We perform this test at the start and end of the programme to assess initial weaknesses as well as changes which occur on the Dore Programme.

Published research and large studies examining Dore has shown substantial improvements in all these areas of performance.

What is most exciting is that Dore seems to be improving essential core skills which are thought to be fundamental and essential for us to respond to good teaching and learn through practice. It seems that the poorer these skills are the more they improve using Dore.
